Enzo Bearzot
Football has been my passion. My exhortation to the Italian national team in 1982 made history: "First, don’t be beaten! Second, it is imperative to win! Third, there isn’t a third point because the first two have said it all!"
Dear visitor, I was a football player and Technical Commissioner of the Italian team. My football career started in Gorizia, where I was proud to wear the Pro Gorizia white blue shirt before flying to Inter, Catania and Torino. Despite my 300 appearances in Serie A, I am remembered above all as the technical commissioner who led the Italian national team to win the third world title in Spain in 1982, at the end of an outstanding challenge, culminating with the Bernabeu final and the indelible snapshots of Tardelli's scream, of the triple «world champions». My exhortation to the team made history: "First, don’t be beaten! Second, it is imperative to win! Third, there isn’t a third point because the first two have said it all!"
